911 GT3 Manthey Kit

The Manthey Kit offers comprehensive optimization of the 911 GT3 (Type 992) racetrack characteristics. In close cooperation between Porsche and Manthey engineers, the vehicle's specifications were tailored specifically for use on the race track and on track days. For Porsche factory drivers Kévin Estre, this means a lap time of 6:55.737 minutes for the 20.8 kilometers of the Nürburgring Nordschleife. And for everyone else: even better handling, even faster cornering speeds and even stronger adrenaline rushes.

Improvements are achieved through the use of new aerodynamics and chassis components, modifications to the brake system and the optionally available Manthey lightweight wheel set. The 911 GT3 Manthey Kit is the result of decades of experience in GT sports, complex aerodynamic simulations and a myriad of test kilometers on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. In addition, all components were intensively tuned and tested on the driving dynamics test stand and in the high-performance wind tunnel of the Porsche Development Center in Weissach.

Aerodynamics package
The aerodynamics of the vehicle were modified according to the “Form follows function” principle and its design was further refined: A new larger spoiler is used at the front of the vehicle which, thanks to its optimized geometry in conjunction with the characteristic flaps and the additional air control elements on the underbody, increases downforce at the front axle by approximately 30%. The new flow-optimized rear diffuser with longer fins in combination with the larger rear wing made of visible carbon provides an approx. 45% increase in output at the rear axle. This features an offset vane and enlarged side panels with painted Manthey logo. The aerodynamics package is completed by the carbon aerodiscs on the rear wheels, which reduce turbulence in the rear end and whose decorative filming can be selected to match the exterior or rim color of the vehicle. As a result, the aerodynamics package significantly increases vehicle controllability and thus contributes significantly to the performance of the 911 GT3.

Coilover suspension
For the threaded chassis (available with and without front axle lift system), a setup was developed in complex tests on the race track and the vehicle dynamics test stand, which leaves nothing to be desired in terms of performance, drivability and comfort. For example, fully aluminum 4-way damping force-adjustable spring struts are used. The lightweight components allow ultra-precise adaptation to the respective track conditions and individual driver preferences. The damping forces are easily accessible and can be adjusted without tools in both the compression and rebound stages at low and high speeds. The moderately adapted spring rates (+10% on the front axle, -7% on the rear axle) further optimized the handling and balance of the 911 GT3.

Brake wire harness with steel sleeve
The brake wire harness with steel sleeve ensures even more direct pedal feedback and a faster response time as a result. These components of the performance kit were also tested and further developed by Manthey on the Nordschleife.

As an option, the brake system of the 911 GT3 can be equipped with racing brake pads (vehicles with ceramic brake system PCCB: part numbers 991 044 806 36, 991 044 806 37; vehicles with gray cast iron brake position: part numbers 9GT 698 151 R, 9GT 698 451 N). The racing brake pad for the gray cast-iron brake system was developed specifically for race track use and improves fading characteristics as well as responsiveness and control. The brake pad is characterized by constant friction behavior over a wide temperature range and very good wear behavior with low disc attack.

Other items
Two red towing loops are included in the scope of supply for race track use. They are attached to the front and rear end in the thread provided for this purpose and must be removed again before taking part in public road traffic.

As an additional visual highlight, the 911 GT3 Manthey Kit includes new illuminated door entry guards in carbon matte, with Manthey logo in red and white. The LED door projectors in the exit lights on the side doors project a white, illuminated Manthey logo on the driver's and passenger's side. Alternatively, the Manthey logo can be applied to the vehicle doors in white or black.

Wheel set
The Manthey Kit is compatible with both the 20/21-inch 911 GT3 wheel set (standard gear set) and the optional 20/21-inch 911 Manthey lightweight wheel set (available without tires, valve and tire pressure monitoring system sensor).

To further reduce the overall weight of the vehicle, which is already designed according to lightweight construction criteria, the 20-/21-inch 911 Manthey lightweight wheel set technologically optimizes the design of the standard wheel. The result: A reduction in springless and rotating masses of 16.1 lbs. (7.3 kg) per vehicle set, which noticeably benefits the response of the spring/damper elements and further improves vehicle controllability.

The 20/21-inch 911 GT3 wheel set is available in the following finishes:
- Brilliant Silver
- Black (satin-gloss)
- Dark Silver

The 20/21-inch 911 Manthey lightweight wheel set is available in the following paint finishes:
- Brilliant Silver
- Black (satin-gloss)
- Dark Silver
- Neodymium

The wheel set is suitable for the corresponding tire sizes:
Front axle: 9.5 J x 20 RO 46 with 255/35 ZR 20 (97Y) XL tires
Rear axle: 12 J x 21 RO 45 with 315/30 ZR 21 (105Y) XL tires.
Porsche recommends using Michelin Sport Cup 2 R tires.

Note: Road registration and warranty remain unchanged. The individual components of the 911 GT3 Manthey Kit are precisely tailored to one another.
